For a well-known car manufacturer, battery trays for one of the most modern electric cars in the world are produced on this fully automated production line. The various profile cross-sections are stacked in special pallets designed by SPS and are managed by a fully automated crane. The sawing line is also fed via this crane and a sophisticated conveyor system in which the empty pallets, including the necessary spacers, are automatically transported back to the extrusion press. The profiles are sawn in layers and then checked for dimensional and shape accuracy 100% automatically. To ensure seamless quality assurance and tracking, all profiles are marked with a code by means of laser marking. Ensuring traceability (ISO certified) sets new standards in the Aluminium industry.
